Cool comfort, engineered from the blueprint up.

Every AIM installation starts with your floor plan. Scroll to follow a complete split-system installation — from first sketch to first breath of cool air.

  1. 01It starts on paper

We map your walls, openings and room sizes before a single hole is drilled, so every decision is based on your actual home.

  2. 02From plan to space

The plan becomes a volume. Ceiling height, glazing and orientation all change how much cooling a room really needs.

  3. 03Measuring the heat load

Room by room we assess heat gain from sun, occupancy and appliances, then size the system to match instead of guessing.

  4. 04Indoor unit, placed with purpose

Wall, ceiling or floor: we place the indoor unit for even airflow across the room and the shortest clean route outside.

    • Wall-mounted split. The most common choice: compact, efficient and quick to install high on a wall.
    • Ceiling cassette. Sits flush in the ceiling and spreads air in four directions — ideal for open spaces.
    • Floor console. Low on the wall, great under windows and for rooms with sloped or low ceilings.
    • Concealed ducted. Hidden above the ceiling; only a slim linear grille shows. Quiet and discreet.
  5. 05Condenser on solid ground

The outdoor unit sits level on a pad or wall bracket, with free space around it for airflow and service access.

  6. 06Refrigerant lines and drainage

Insulated copper lines and a sloped condensate drain pass through one sealed wall penetration between both units.

  7. 07A dedicated power supply

A dedicated circuit with a local isolator is run from your distribution board and tested before the system is energised.

  8. 08Vacuum, leak test, charge

We pull a deep vacuum to remove air and moisture, confirm the system holds, then release and verify the refrigerant charge.

Ten steps from blueprint to cool air

The same sequence you scrolled through above, on every installation we do.

  1. Blueprint

We map your floor plan, openings and room sizes.

    See this step: Blueprint
  2. Extrusion

We look at volumes, glazing and orientation.

    See this step: Extrusion
  3. Site assessment

We assess each room’s heat load and size the system to fit.

    See this step: Site assessment
  4. Indoor unit

The right indoor unit type is mounted for even airflow and a short line route.

    See this step: Indoor unit
  5. Outdoor unit

The condenser is set level on a pad or bracket with service clearance.

Frequently asked questions

How long does an installation take?

It depends on the number of indoor units and the line route. A typical single-room split system takes [TYPICAL DURATION]; we confirm timing in your quote after the site assessment.

Do you visit before giving a quote?

For most installations we assess the site first — measuring rooms, checking wall construction, the line route and the electrical supply — so the quote reflects your home.

Where will the outdoor unit go?

Somewhere level with free airflow and service access: typically a ground pad or wall bracket close to the indoor unit, keeping lines short and noise away from bedrooms and neighbours.

Will installation make a mess?

Most split systems need one core-drilled hole per indoor unit. We protect floors and furniture, extract dust while drilling and clean up before we leave.

How often should my system be serviced?

Clean or replace filters regularly and book a professional service at the interval your manufacturer recommends — usually once a year. See our maintenance plans for details: [MAINTENANCE PLAN DETAILS].

What warranty do I get?

You receive the manufacturer warranty on the equipment plus our workmanship warranty: [WARRANTY TERMS].
